Can I book a group party?
Yes you can book a group party. We can accommodate, hen, stag, school, birthday, corporate, etc. However please contact us first so we can organise the best bespoke lesson for you.


Can I book specifically on just a Surf or just a SUP lesson?
Yes you can. However will you need to wait until 3 days before your specified date, so we can forecast the conditions suitable for the lesson type.


Can children between 8-11 years old take part in a SUP lesson?
Any pupils under the age of 12 years old cannot take part in a SUP Open group lesson due to the size of SUP boards and increasing the safety risk in the water. However, we can organise Private SUP lessons for children under 12 years old as low instructor/ pupils ratios allow for safe instruction.

What is SUP?
SUP stands for Stand UP Paddle boarding.


What happens if my lesson changes from SURF to SUP after it has been confirmed and I have children under 12 years old booked in who would be too young to take part?
We always do our best to forecast the most suitable lesson type (SURF or SUP) depending on the conditions 3 days in advance. However, although we always do our best to notify customers, sea conditions can change with little or no warning. If your lesson changes to SUP and you have children under 12 booked in we will either try to re-schedule your booking, run a Kids only SURF lesson or offer you a full refund of the child lesson price.


When will I get confirmation of my lesson type (SURF or SUP)?

We will not notify you in advance as to which lesson type it will be. However you can check our 3 day lesson forecast to get an idea of which type of lesson it will be. 


What is the minimum age for Open group SURF lessons?

The minimum age for OPEN GROUP Surf lessons is 12 years old and 8 years old in KIDS OPEN GROUP.  However, we can accommodate younger pupils below 8yrs for Private 1:1 lessons. Please contact us for more info.


What is the minimum age for Open group SUP lessons?

The minimum age for Open group SUP lessons is 12 years old. However, we can accommodate younger pupils for Private 1:1 SUP lessons. Please contact us for more info.


What is include in the price?

Your lesson includes, tuition from fully qualified instructors, all the necessary equipment (e.g. board, paddle, buoyancy aid, wetsuit, boots, gloves, hood) and full public liability insurance.

When can you hire equipment?

Any surf equipment hire or surf lessons cannot take place 2.5 hours either side of the high tide time due to the safety of you as the customer and help prevent the damage of equipment.  This excludes the hire of SUP’s on flat days, which is permitted on any stage of tide.


Do you have changing facilities?

We are unable to offer changing facilities, we reccomend using a towelling robe to get changed. We also have one outdoor shower that uses cold water. 

Do you have a secure lock up for personal belongings?

Yes we have an outside box which is padlocked. However, all belongings are left at your own risk and we accept no liability for loss or damage to personal belongings. Storage is for lesson and hire customers, although space priority will be given to lesson customers. Please make sure all belongings are packed away in a secure bag.


When do you run the lessons?

We schedule lessons from Easter through to the end of October. However lessons can be organised outside of this period but subject to availability and weather conditions.


When do you know conditions for SURF or SUP?

We do our best to forecast the conditions 3 days in advance. However sea conditions can change and we will do our best to notify customers but we accept no liability for any changes.


How long are the lessons?

Open group lessons are 2 hours long in which you will receive approximately 1.5hours water time. Private lessons are for 1.5 hours, in which you will receive at least 1 full hour water time.


How can I book a Private lesson?

You can book online or you can contact us directly to book a Private lesson, if you wish it to be scheduled specifically around tides and conditions to suit your needs.


How far in advance shall I arrive before my lesson?

We ask all customers to arrive 15 minutes before the lesson start time. This is so you and all other people booked in can check in and the lesson can start on time. During weekends and school holidays please leave plenty of time to get to the Surf school as our little coastal town gets extremely busy.


What do I need to bring for my lesson?

You will need to bring something suitable to wear under your wetsuit (fitted swim wear), a towel and suitable clothes relevant to weather conditions to wear after the lesson.


What are the group ratios or maximum group sizes?

All our Open group lessons (SURF and SUP) operate in a 1:8 coach/pupil ratio. If your group exceeds 8 pupils, we will have an additional coach.


What happens if the lesson is cancelled?

If we cancel the lesson due to dangerous weather conditions or other unforeseeable circumstances we will either re-schedule your lesson to another suitable time or offer you a full refund.


Do you offer parking facilities?

Unfortunately parking on Cromer Promenade is for permit or disable badge holders only. Parking is available in several different pay and display car parks in town or free parking is available in residential areas. This are all within a 10mins walk of the Surf school
