COVID19 OPERATIONS UPDATE

RE-OPENING UPDATE:

We can confirm we will re-opening our Surf School, Hire and Shop all together on the same day of MONDAY 12TH APRIL.  Our online booking for all 2021 lessons will also go live on THURSDAY 1ST APRIL. Thank you for your patience and we are looking forward to seeing you all soon!

 

Firstly a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us during this covid19 period. Also
a huge advanced welcome to everyone who will be visiting us in the future. Despite the
current covid19 situation we all find ourselves in, Glide Surf is committed to providing the
highest quality of service to our community and those visiting. We will always continue
strive to make your experience with us one to remember and put a smile on your face!  

For the safety of our customers, staff and the businesses future we have undertaken a
thorough risk assessment and applied the following steps which will effect and override
parts of our normal operations procedure. This can be found at
https://glidesurfschool.co.uk/important-documents.  Anyone booking a lesson, hiring
equipment or visiting us in the shop for sales will be deemed as agreeing to and must
adhere to these following changes outlined below.

PROCEEDURES FOR OUR ALL OUR CUSTOMERS
-Please always follow the government 1M+ recommendation for social distancing in and around the premises.
-Please give way to people who are exiting the shop.
-A maximum of 2 people or 4 people from the same household are allowed in the shop at any one time.
-If you need to wait to enter the shop please queue to the left of the shop using the floor markers.
-Please always use our hand sanitiser when entering and leaving the shop.
-If any of our customers do experience covid19 symptoms please do let us know and don’t attend any lessons,
hire equipment or visit the shop. Under certain circumstances lessons can be refunded / re-scheduled through
our current terms and conditions.

ADDITIONAL PROCEEDURES FOR OUR ALL SURF/SUP LESSONS AND HIRE CUSTOMERS
-Check in for all pre-paid lessons and hire will be outside by the surf school trailer with your coach.
-When checking in for lessons please just have those taking part present. Unless U18 then you can be
accompanied by one parent/guardian.
-Once checked in please wait against the sea wall opposite the surf school and shop until you are called over by your coach to start the lesson.
-Only outside changing will be available so please find a suitable space nearby on the promenade.
-A locked valuables store will still be available for all lesson and hire customers. However, this is at your own
risk and we do not accept any responsibility for any damage or loss.

PROCEEDURES OUR BUSINESS HAS MADE AND WILL UPHOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
-All our wetsuits, SURF and SUP boards and other equipment will be disinfected after every use.
-Our entire shop has been refurbished and thoroughly cleaned prior to us re-opening on Monday 12th April 2021 and this standard of cleaning will continue to be upheld throughout the forthcoming season. .
-Exterior hazard markings on the floor have been used to help guide all staff and customers.
-Our inside changing areas will be out of use until further notice.
-All our OPEN GROUP and KIDS OPEN GROUP LESSON have returned to a 1:8 ratio and 2hr duration. However due to COVID19 we are still operating with a 1M+ social distancing rule. This will be used by all of our coaches during lessons in and out of the water. However, there may be instances when this is not practically safe to do so. If a coach does need to support or handle any pupils during the lesson they will do so with as minimal contact as possible and
the upmost care.
