ABOUT THE LESSON
For 2025 our inland stand up paddle board lessons are now available just 20 minutes drive south of Cromer. Located in the middle of the beautiful North Norfolk Countryside at Wolterton on their stunning 500 acre estate of flowing parkland. These stand up paddle board (SUP) lessons can be arranged for private groups or why not join one of our Saturday afternoon open group beginner lessons, due to start running monthly in May or twice weekly on Saturday afternoon and Tuesday evenings during the summer holidays in July and August.
In the lesson you will receive dynamic coaching and be methodically guided through all the initial basics of stand up paddle boarding in a safely marked out area. Then moving onto paddling with our experienced instructors and guided around the stunning private10 acre lake, whilst you experience the stunning rural scenery, beautiful local wildlife, the still tranquil lake water and veiws of the magniciant Wolterton buildings in the distant back drop. As you take all this in you will master balancing on the board, co-ordinating the board and paddle, paddling and turning the board and all within the safe boundaries of a private lake.
If you are wanting to develop some team building and heightened fun you will have the option of attempting to team paddle our XL mega-SUP! This is able to carry 6 adults or 8 children and requires a high level co-ordination, balance, team building and a sense of humour; as well as a risk of possibly getting wet!
Completing these beginner lessons will allow you to feel fully confident in paddling before heading further afield in the future in one of our sheltered flat sea lessons and on to a paddling journey.
If you are accompanying a paddling participant or part of a private group, yet not wanting to actually paddle, you can still enjoy watching the lesson. Relax on the lakeside viewing bench area over looking the water and lesson.
