“The Original Greatest Groveler ever…Digitally Re-Mastered”

The PUDDLE JUMPER is one of our all time best selling and most loved models. Popular around the world. It was one of the original, modern “groveler” specific shapes, that caught fire around the world. It flys around and moves on top of flat water, with ease…Thus the name, PUDDLE JUMPER.

It’s significant width, low rocker, forward outline, with wide nose and tail, make paddling, catching waves and skating along on small waves a breeze. Fast and drivey, with plenty of lift, the magic comes from the hyper-curved rail line rocker, which runs parallel to the stringer, near the nose, then exaggerates into a deep single concave, that swoops back down to a significant vee, under the rear foot. This high arcing rail line, with double concave vee in the tail, creates a lively ride and turns the relatively flat board into a turning machine, especially once put on rail. There’s enough curve in the accelerating rail rocker, to loosen up and transform The Original Puddle Jumper, from a typical flat little plank into a mini-performance machine, allowing turns in 1’-2’ waves that you wouldn’t believe you could do.

This little board proved itself again and again, in smaller waves, with surfers of multiple skill sets, from entry level to Pro, all around the world. Its absolutely amazing in wave pools, as well, btw.

We had not adjusted the design in years, simply re-sizing for custom orders, as retailers slowly stopped stocking them, in lieu of newer models. With the constant updating and releasing of new models and designs (many of them derivatives of “The Original” PUDDLE JUMPER) it somehow got lost in the mix… Relegated to custom orders and a few smart shops who still stocked them. We feel the time has come to bring back some of our best models from the past and give them a subtle make-over. Considering the new builds and techs we’ve been working with the last 5 years, it makes perfect sense to finally offer them in some of our classic models. Releasing them in the new, modern materials and ride characteristics currently being built in our factories. Builds like #BlackSheep, #LightSpeed and #DoubleDart hunger for “The Original” PUDDLE JUMPER… but lets dont discount good ol’ PU/PE, with a thin flexi-stringer.

Not a full re-design, nor a major up-date (which would require a new name and lots of RnD) but a smooth and simple “Digital Re-Master”, to the older CAD files. Not wanting to inherently change this iconic design, we went in and “Re-mastered” each size, fine tuning the files to cut clean and shine in a new way.
