Our inland stand up paddle board lessons are now available just 15 minutes drive from Cromer: Located in the middle of the beautiful North Norfolk Countryside at Mill Farm Lakes and Camping.  These SUP lessons can currently be arranged for a private group, included as a taster session on our women program surf programme or why not join one of our monthly open group beginner lessons (due to start in the autumn 2022).

In the lesson you will receive dynamic coaching and be methodically guided through all the initial basics of stand up paddle boarding.  This will allow you to feel fully confident in paddling before heading further afield in the future on a SUP journey or paddling in a sheltered flat sea area.  Enjoy paddling with our experienced instructors and guided around the stunning private lake, whilst you experience the stunning scenery, the local wildlife and the quiet tranquil lake area.  As you take all this in you will master balancing on the board, co-ordinating the board and paddle, paddling and turning the board and all within the safe boundaries of a private lake.

If you are wanting to develop some team building and heightened fun you will have the option of attempting to team paddle our XL stand up paddle board!  The super large SUP is able to carry 6 adults or 8 children and requires a high level co-ordination, balance, team building and a sense of humour; as well as a risk of possibly getting wet!

If you are accompanying a paddling participant or part of a private group, yet not wanting to actually paddle, you can still enjoy watching the lesson.   Relax on the lakeside viewing bench or sit at the raised picnic table area over looking the water and lesson.

Safety is our number one priority as well as guaranteeing to make your lesson a fun, pleasurable and adventurous experience. All of our coaches are fully qualified and experienced SUP instructors as well as holding a valid water safety & rescue/ beach lifeguard qualification. Buoyancy aids are provided and required for anyone under the age of 18.

Our Inland SUP lessons have a maximum pupil to coach ratio of 1:8.  However we can arrange for additional coaches to cater for larger groups up to 16 in a lesson.  There is a minimum age limit of 13 years with and no upper age limit, so it’s never too late to start! We can accommodate children as young as 8 years in lower ratio lessons or school groups. Please contact us for more details.

No prior SUP experience is necessary, however a reasonable level of fitness is advised due to water paddling time being approximately 1.5hrs. We always strive to make our lessons as inclusive and accessible as possible so if you have any reservations please do contact us for more information.   Please bring with you something suitable to wear under your wetsuit (shorts, trunks, swim costume or bikini) and a towel or changing robe.  Also some warm clothes for before and after the lesson, suncream & sun hat (if weather suggests). During July and August you can paddle in a base layer and mid layer clothing, e.g. swim shorts, rash vest, gym style clothing and maybe a light fleece. Please bring a spare set though incase you get wet!  Lastly, water or something to drink along with a light snack is suggested as there is no shop onsite or within walking distance.
